Girls 4x100m

State of the Action: Shortly after the girls 100m finish, many of those same girls came back to help their teams compete in the relay. Cedar Hill proved to be in a world of their own, being the only team able to run un 47s in a new US #8 46.86.

Girls 4x200m

State of the Action: The schedule was afternoon heavy for the sprinters, leaving the teams with tough decisions on which athletes to run in each race. Cedar Hill chose to sit Danyel White so she could focus on the 200m Finals later on. Mesquite Horn took full advantage posting the only time under 1:41 on their way to 1st place.

Girls 4x400m

State of the Action: No better way to end the meet than with the 4x400m. This race turned out to be the most loaded race of any in the entire meet. Mckinney Boyd left their anchor slot open, likely waiting to see home Aaliyah Miller would feel after running 2 400s & a 1600m. Going into the anchor leg it was a showdown between 3 2014 State Champions! Danyel White vs Samantha Gonzalez vs Aaliyah Miller!Incredibly rare to see athletes of that level all competing in the same race!

White took the baton with a slight lead over Gonzalez & Miller repping Boyd back in 3rd. There was no doubt Miller knew she didn't want to battle with the 200m state champ in the final meters, and Miller hammered the first 200m, closing the gap to White, going straight to the front and briefly opening a gap, but then all her previous races looked to show a bit, and White and Gonzalez bridged up to her, and White would go on to take the win for Cedar Hill. If you haven't watch it yet, it's a race you do not want to miss!
