State of the Action: The D1 race was the closest with Jernaya Sharp coming out and putting together a great race right before she would run in the 100m finals.
Rushing & Gonzalez doubled back from the 300H the night before, but one athlete would run away from the rest, and that was your new US #1 Tonea Marshall. And bumping Rushing out of 2nd place was Desoto star Alexis Duncan. |

The standout from FL Kimani Rushing came on strong down the homestretch and looked like she might challenge for the win, but Gonzalez was too strong and came away with the title and a US #1. |
