There were 41 total National Elite Performances from the prelims at 17-6A, with a bunch of TX Top-10 marks, it's shaping up to be a loaded meet into the finals. All these Elite Performances accumulating without any field events, which will all be today.
Girls Takeaways:
- No big surprises
- Duckett & Baynes dominated the hurdles as expected.
- Cy-Springs shows their depth and strengthens their position as the favorite for the team title
- Cy-Springs could potentially win every sprint event, though they'll have plenty of tough competition to work through
- Cy-Ridge put together their best 4x100m of the season, but will be difficult to contend with Springs if they are firing on all cylinders
- 400m finals will be one of the most exciting to watch, with the Top group all running well in the prelims. Those 4 area spots will be hotly contested.
Boys Takeaways:
- This District is one of the deepest in the hurdles. Lucas is certainly the man to beat. The 4 area spots will be hard fought between the Top-5 guys.
- Langham Creek looks to be coming together as a team when it counts, they ran to season best times in the 4x100m & 4x200m
- Sam Omeora hit a new PR which has lifted him into the Top-20 in the state in the 100m
