The girls 800m was one of many races this weekend that was virtually guaranteed to produce a new national leader. The Texans were both positioned well after the firs quarter, sitting 3rd & 4th behind the leaders. As the leader, Christina Aragon pulled away from the pack in the final 100m, Julia Heymach threw in a big kick and a dive at the live to finish in 3rd place with a new PR and US #5 2:05.64.
