All field events ended around 4 o'clock on Friday, except for the girls 13-14 Triple Jump. Due to a delay in the meet schedule, the girls 13-14 Triple jump took place around 5 o'clock. Delays in events tend to have a negative effect on athletes, but not on Jasmine Moore. The rising High School freshman jumped 12.10m ( with a wind of 2.8m/s) on her first attempt to take the win. This jump surpassed the old National record by over half a foot; however, due to the fact that the wind was over 2.0m/s , the jump did not count as a record. On her third attempt, the rising freshman who just started competing in this event this past march jumped a wind legal(2.0m/s) 12.08m to seal the deal and capture the national record.
