Abby Guidry Commits To The University of Texas!
Kingwood senior Abby Guidry announced on Sunday October 18th her plans to attend the University of Texas. The senior holds PR's of 2:19 800m, 4:59 1600m, and 10:38 3200m. Last spring in track Guidry finished 7th at the state meet in the 3200m running her 10:38 PR. She also finished 8th in the 1600m at the state meet running 5:01. Last fall Guidry finished 5th at the state meet in class 6A, running 18:06. She went on to place 6th at the Nike Cross Nationals South Regional. Kingwood finished 3rd just missing the trip to Portland for NXN. This year the future Longhorn most recently won the UIL 6A - District 16 meet running 18:19. She finished 4th at McNeil Invitational, and 3rd at the Texas A&M Invitational amongst some stacked competition.
