Mind BLOWING Weekend Performances!

The girls distance events a the Lewisville Goldsmith Relays were fast! Lewisville rivals Maddy Reed and Anna Elkin faced off for the first time this season, running head to head in the 1600m. Reed ended up beating Elkin by only a second to claim the 1600m victory (check out all their prior head to head match ups here). She ran to a new U.S. #2 time of 4:54.39 while Elkin comes in at #5 on the list at 4:55.96. We also can't forget about sophomore Quinn Owen who also ran an extremely impressive U.S. #9 time of 4:58.49. The times would rank Texas numbers 1-3 if it wasn't for Madie Boreman throwing down a big U.S. #8 and TX #3 solo performance in the 1600m at the Smithson Valley Ranger Relays. The 3200m at the Lewisville Goldsmith relays also saw Reed run the fastest time in the country with her 10:44.05. Owen also doubled down and ran the 28th fastest time in the country at 11:09.57. They both rank TX #1 and TX #15 respectively.
