Day 1 was the stage for the Multi event ladies and gentlemen to get the meet started with their first four/five events. Heptathlete veteran G'auna Edwards of Gulf Coast Elite and Rachel Woods of The Wings started the day off with impressive 100H performances of 14.52 and 15.32 respectively. It was interesting watching the competition as the ladies battle it out against each other, their best times and distances, and also the wicked Houston weather. Below is how the Girls 17-18 Hep event resulted at the end of day 2.

We also saw strong performances in the 400H and the 4x800 relay events. Both of the Boys 15-16 and 17-18 year old competitions showed why Texas hurdles are so fierce. Houston Synergy's Eric Edwards ran to a strong 55.59 for the 15-16 division victory and Zachary Martin of The Wings blazed to a 52.83 for the 17-18 division victory.

Speaking of The Wings, we saw the Boys 4x800 relay compete in a combined heat of the 15-16 year old division and the 17-18 year old division. Age proved not to matter to the Wings 15-16 year olds as they took the victory, in the race, outlasting both age divisions. The Wings coasted to a very impressive 8:01.03. That is an age group national leading time.
