I would say this is one kid you should want to keep an eye out for, but if you haven't heard of Alex Maier by now then you obviously haven't been following Texas High School Cross Country this season. Alex has started his Sophomore season with a bang and has continued to be on a tear ever since. Alex has PRed week after week and has only been beated by two seniors who happen to be two of the top distances runners in the nation in Reed Brown and Daniel Bernal.
