As runners, we all know the challenges of finishing a race, and the fatigue that sets in as you near the end. The burning in your legs, lungs, and body as you come closer to the finish and push with every ounce of energy you have. We also know that the sportsmanship and comradery in Cross Country and Track are unparalleled in any other sport. In Fort Worth, one team goes above and beyond the call. The team from South West Christian School was recently highlighted on WFAA channel 8 News in Fort Worth for their exemplary sportsmanship. When runners feel tired or about to quit near the end of the race, the team joins together to cheer them on. What makes them so remarkable is that they support not just the runners from their own team, but runners from every team. In the video they can be seen coming together in a pack to help other runners to cross the line, with words of encouragement and by running next to them.
