The UIL District 19-6A XC meet boasts some of Texas' top teams and individuals in 6A on both the boys and girls sides. Each region in the state takes four teams to the State meet and this district has maybe six girl teams and four boy teams that are all capable of making it out of Region III-6A to State. The problem is that only three teams on each side can make it out of District. Last season, the three teams that survived the district meet for the girls and boys were three of the four from Region III-6A to make it to State.
On the girls side, Katy, Seven Lakes, and Cinco Ranch made it to State last season. They all have a good shot to return to Round Rock, but it will not be an easy task. Morton Ranch and Tompkins are so good that they could easily earn one of those three spots to Regionals. For the boys, Katy, Houston Strake Jesuit, and Seven Lakes all made it to State last year. They also look to do the same thing this season, but they will have stiff competition from Morton Ranch and Tompkins.
