Austin's oldest annual race, the Statesman Cap10K will be celebrating its 40th running on Sunday, April 23, 2017. Come see why this is Austin's Rite of Spring event for runners and walkers. Featuring a majestic start on the Congress Avenue bridge stretching over Town Lake, the course travels into downtown Austin and around the historic Texas State Capitol building. Live music from local artists keep rhythm with the thousands of foot steps winding through historic Austin neighborhoods. Join us at the Finish Line Festival on the banks of the Colorado river where food trucks, beer garden, live music, kids zone and race vendors celebrate your finish. With all of those fun activities and more, Runner's World has named the Statesman Cap10K one of the top 20 Iconic American Races That Aren't Marathons.
