Shot Put - Adrian Piperi U.S. #2 71'11
Last year, Adrian Piperi was the No. 2-ranked thrower in the entire country, only behind Pennsylvania's Jordan Geist. Piperi, a Woodlands senior, hasn't lost a shot put competition on Texas soil since his freshman year of high school. He's the two-time defending Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic shot put champion as well as the two-time defending 6A state champion. Last season, he finished fifth at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships not to mention his gold medal in 2015 at the 9th IAAF World Youth Championships. This year he will look for his third Texas A&M shot put title as well as his third 6A state title in a row.
