Jasmine Moore Takes Down College Competitors With A Second Place At Texas Tech Open

Jasmine Moore recently admitted that she wants to be the best high school jumper in history by the time she graduates.

She has just about every class record there is and counting as she recently added the Junior class indoor triple jump record just a few weeks ago.

Although she wants to be the best high schooler ever, she got started early beating college jumpers. At the Texas Tech Open, Moore was included in the field of 20 plus jumpers.

On her first jump, Moore scratched without getting a legal jump. The second jump, Moore put herself in a familiar first place spot when she jumped a 42'1.25". That lead would disappear as the next jump  former Texas Tech and Mesquite jumper Viershanie Latham would jump 42'6.25" to take the lead in the competition.

Moore would jump a couple of more 41 high jumps, but would be unable to get over the hump to get the victory. She would out jump every collegiate jumper in the field, but would have to take second place as post collegiate Latham and the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships 6th place triple jumper who has a 43'11.25" PR would take the win.
