-Revised 6/3/18
Colorado has some very good hurdlers. They took a very good team down to the the Great Southwestern Classic. They were able to put one of the top hurdlers in the nation over the last several years in Emily Sloan.
With Sloan on the first leg, Colorado opened a pretty significant lead. However, that lead wasn't good enough.
The Texas squad had several monsters on the final three legs. The UIL 6A team state champion DeSoto placed their hurdle duo of Jayla Hollis and Antoinette Bradley on two of the final three legs as they deep into the Colorado lead.
With one leg remaining, Colorado still had a slight lead. That lead wasn't good enough as Team Texas just had more speed and star power than Colorado.
TAPPS runer up and star hurdler Tamia Badal from Tomball Concordia Lutheran and Simone Watkins from Frisco teamed up with Hollis and Bradley to form the winning team. How do you match up with a line up like that? I think we found out....you don't!
