Calvillo, is another dude I'm betting most don't know and I really can't blame anyone. However, not taking my warning will totally be on you!
The dude has officially arrived and he looks like a scary good runner. With nothing major on his resume until this year, he has certainly begun to leave his mark the last couple of weeks. It started at the TAMUCC Islander Splash with a 14:48.91 for the 3 mile course, which showed he was ready. Then he backed it up at McNeil Invitational with at 15:12.83 for ninth place overall in the boys Gold race.
Just for good measure, he won his district with a 15:49 to show that he is primed and ready to roll. The Region 4-6A race will be full of experience and quality, but you might want to have the junior from Jarez Lincoln on your radar!
