Paige Lowe
The Midland Lee sophomore exploded at the Region 1-6A Meet. The young thrower herself quite a meet and earned a trip to her first state meet.
Just last month, Lowe threw her second best throw of her career (41-6.25) at the Texas Relays to finish 12th place in the shot put. Since then, she has thrown 44-2, 45-8.75, and then 47-6 to win regionals.
She has been even more impressive in the discus. Entering the season, her PB was 119-8, but she quickly began to blow that out of the water. The first meet of the season saw a 125-7 and eventually improved to a 147-5 PR at Texas Relays for a runner-up finish. Lowe would build up to a 162-6 PR at the UIL 6A - District 1-2 Area Meet and then threw a 157-8 to win at regionals.
