Gracen Key showed just how important the third 200m is to a good 800m. She wasn't in the lead position until coming around the curve at the 500m and continued to drive home to the finish line. She ended up with a 2:23.19 win followed by Temi Flowers (2:24.93) and Kenli Johnson (2:25.45).
Rocksprings sophomore Christopher Flores blasted out to the lead and kept it for 650m. It wasn't until the end when Nathan Galuppo (1:57.63) and Santos Flores (2:00.93) caught up and moved by. Flores still managed to get a top 3 finish with his 2:02.12.
