Christopher Daniels is ready to show off his improved skills with his upcoming junior season. He has had solid cross country outings each of his first two seasons at Klein. Daniels has slid right into the Klein culture and contributed to the team setting for coach McGuire. Last year, he was the team's number one and the numbers showed. He started the season off at Marcus I going 15:49 for 14th place at the always star studded meet. From there he would go throughout the season with top finishes all of the way through the state meet and NXR South. Track season was kind questionable for Daniels as he doesn't have many performances on the season and only a 4:31, but a 9:32 in the first week of March shows the potential. So far in his career, Daniels' progression appears to be on a linear path. He has lowered his times year after year and he went from a 58th place finish and 16:00 at the UIL 6A state meet freshman year to a 15th place finish and a 15:21 last year. Another considerable jump this year could place him in the top 10 at the state meet this year. Daniels finished 27th overall at NXR South last year and he will be one of Texas' top runners this year. If he shows the ability to hold onto races watch out! One thing is for sure, you will be able to identify him easily because he is an aggressive front runner type of athlete and doesn't hold back!
