The Fort Worth Paschal senior has had to endure a couple of injuries throughout his career and they have hindered his true potential. However, they haven't been able to completely sideline him. Dennis has still battled by running through some injury and fitness issues due to the injuries. Dennis has 4:23 and 9:31 PRs on the track and a 15:22 best in XC from last year's UIL 6A state meet. His only race over 16:00 last season was a 16:10 at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival at the Challenging Fayetteville, Arkansas course. Dennis improved his UIL 6A state meet performances from 15:43 and 30th place as a sophomore to a 15:22 run for 16th place last year. He then went to the Foot Locker South Region and ran 15:48 for 28th place on that difficult course and elite race. With an improved fitness level and adapted training, we might see even more from Dennis in his senior season. If he is able to stay healthy, he will easily out perform this preseason ranking!
