Ryan Schoppe impressed us last week with his 4:06 1600m time trial. Today, he ramped things up with another impressive performance over the 3200m distance. He did so by running 8:48 in a time trial
The La Porte senior was hoping to win his third consecutive UIL 6A 3200m state championship this year. In addition to that, Schoppe was also trying to join the special club of winning the cross country state title and the 3200m state title in the same year.
His 8:52.73 winning time from last year's state meet is his competition season PR, but his run today surpassed that. Makes you wonder, what if.....
