Dripping Springs and Boerne Champion episode 3 was another outstanding race at the Girls Region 4-5A
We've supposed for a while that the Region 4 Championships would be wild this year. The results this week only reinforce that idea. Here are some of the surprises to me:
6A was stronger than 5A, all things considered, but the Boerne Champion boys and Dripping Springs girls were the fastest teams for the two days. This held true for the top individuals, as well: Isabel Conde de Frankenberg (Cedar Park) was faster than the 6A champion, Amalie Mills (Smithson Valley), and 5A winner Foster Wilfong (Boerne Champion) and Wiliam Macias (PSJA Memorial) pushed each other to a 181 speed rating, slightly faster than 6A champ Taj Lee (San Antonio Johnson).
