Nationally, the girl's 800m has been getting faster at an alarming rate over the last couple of years. Texas has been one of the contributing states with recent stars like Aaliyah Miller,  Raevyn Rogers, Jennelle Jaeger-darakjy, Isabel Van Camp, Bailey Goggans, and more who have all gone under 2:10.

This year, Texas already has an insane amount of sub 2:10 girls on the first weekend of April with four and that is without Bailey Goggans. Goggans, the Texas A&M commit hasn't competed this outdoor season, but has performed under 2:10 every year since her freshman season and no doubt would have contributed to the number.

The girl's 800m renaissance has been due to speed; many of girls were capable of running 53 -54 seconds in the 400m and that includes the likes of Miller, Rogers, Jaeger-darakjy and Goggans.
