6A Girls Triple Jump Recap: Brya Brewer Shows She's US' Best


The 6A girls triple jump was a fight for the second and third place spots. Brya Brewer of Cedar Hill won the 6A Girls Triple Jump after she recorded a mark of 42-7.50 on her second attempt. Brewer cleared 40 feet on five of her six attempts to further cement how far she has come in the event. The Texas Tech University  commit just picked up the event at the beginning of the year and just months later she became the nation's best in the event with her 43-0 jump is the state champion.

Alexis Tilford-Rutherford of Richmond George Ranch sneaked into the second spot after recording a mark of 40-7.50 in her fifth attempt. Kennedy Doakes from The Woodlands rounded out the top 3 with a mark of 39-5.00.
