110 Meter Hurdles
From the moment the gun went off, Barry Richards from Summer Creek wasted no time taking charge. Richards cleared every hurdle and continued to accelerate all the way to the finish line where he was the first to cross. He finished with a time of 13.31 with about 5 meters ahead of the rest of the field.
Things were tight as the battle for second took place behind Richards. There were multiple athletes making a case for themselves. Tj Caldwell of Northwest Nelson and Sam Alves of Rockwall fought until the finish line. Caldwell finished second with a time of 13.63 and Alves claimed the final podium spot running a 13.75.

300 Meter Hurdles
Bryce McCray out of George Ranch set a new PR by over half a second to win the 6A Boys 300 Meter Hurdles. McCray quickly worked his way to the front and used the curve to put himself in a good position.
Running alongside McCray was Denzel Hinds from Health Careers. Hinds and McCray came down to the wire as Hinds was edged by just a hundredth of a second. Junior Cameron Boger from Mesquite made up some ground to get the third spot with a time of 36.69.
