Lago Vista girls head towards the finish line at the 2020 UIL 3A XC state meet
Class 3A
Addison Ellis (Poth) is having a great season and comes into regionals with the best time of the region. Aly Wray (Lago Vista) could be the competition for Ellis.
Poth, Lytle, and possibly Vanderbilt Industrial could be in for a three team battle for the team title.
Poth can run at the 13:00 level with Lytle capable of running in the same range.
Wyatt Hoover (Poth) is the defending Region 4-3A champion and he should cruise to the win Monday as well. He had a great race at the McNeil Inv. where he finished seventh in the elite race in 15:34.
There are four other boys heading into the regional championship meet under 17-minutes.
The path to state should be clear for Lytle, Palacios, Lago Vista, and Poth. Based on the team averages coming into the meet anyone else will have to have very good racing days to top those four teams.
