Camille Napier (Lamar Fulshear) has verbally committed to the University of Texas. The Houston area distance runner is in her senior year and is looking to make a come back before graduation.
As a sophomore, Napier finished second at the TAPPS 6A state cross country championships for Houston St. Agnes. That same season, she went on to finish top 10 at the Foot Locker South Regional with a 17:27 5,000m PR and qualify for the Foot Locker National Championship. Only the top distance runners in the nation eventually qualify for the championship race as Napier did finishing 35th.
Napier transferred to Fulshear HS after the 2019 cross country season and went on to run 5:09.19 and 10:40 PRs. Both times are outstanding, but she did them both in February, which makes them even more impressive.
