Caleb Lengefeld Dominates 2A Boys 3200

The boys took off like a shot when the gun sounded with a lot of jockeying for positions happening in the first lap. Caleb Lengefeld, a Senior from Hamilton came through the first lap with the lead followed by Abraham Morales a Senior from Brackett and Austin Magness, a Sophomore from Forsan.

Lengenfeld remained at the front of the pack as it started to spread out through two laps. Legenfeld and Morales started to pull away from the rest of the pack.

Through three, Lengenfeld and Morales maintained one and two. Four gentlemen broke away and were the chase pack vying for 3rd place.

Lengenfeld started to pull away with two laps to go and continued to extend his lead over Morales. Dawson Melde, a Senior from Hamilton moved into third place and did his best to pull away from the chase pack.

At the bell lap it was all Lengenfeld and he crossed the finish line with a time of 9:27.20, while Morales had second place sewed up with a time of 9:44.91. Connor Bartek, a Junior from Goldthwaite made his move to vie for third place, but with 100m to go Alan Baez, a Sophomore from Ganado kicked it into high gear and stole third place with a time of 9:46.07.
