We've talked with coaches this season about their meets, the teams, and individual in the Rio Grande Valley each week this season.
This week, we were joined by Coach Rogelio Corpus of Donna North and Coach Homer Martinez from Edinburg North. They both hosted meets last weekend and they talked about their events and what they saw (and didn't see).
Additionally, both coaches spoke about the evolution of running in the South Texas area that is becoming more and more conscious about running and taking things to another level after the effects of the pandemic. They commended the youth in the area about using social media to connect and not allowing school/team ties restrict them from taking training into their own hands.
