The Harlingen South girls won the RGVCCCA Meet of Champions.
While no team win is as easy as 1, 2, 3, this was difficult and particularly a surprise win. The Sharyland has been on a major force for years and this season and the La Feria girls have been just as strong.
Both teams entered the meet ranked No. 1 and No. 2 by the RGVCCCA while Harlingen South recently climbed up to No. 6. Although the surprise was to many outside of the South girls and coach Ariana Montalvo, but within their camp, they believed.
Montalvo has been leading and guiding all season long and they girls even admitted they are sold. They buy in is taking effect at the right time. They have risen in each of the released polls and now a win over the entire RGV could put them at the top at the right time of the year.
