Aleksandr Acuna is enjoying a fabulous sophomore season. After impressive runs as a freshman, he has stepped things up to another level with his running on grass.
His running has led to him being nominated for the MileSplit TX Performer of the Week Poll that he won on the back of his improvements.
Acuna used the 4:31, 9:35, and his 16:11 PRs from last year and his off season training to running faster this season in every race than his previous PR. Now, he has a 15:33 5,000m personal record heading into the first weekend in October.
He talks about his year and the Denton Braswell culture his teammates and the coaching staff are promoting.
