6 Jumpers To Watch At FasTrack Athletix - Coach O

Brianna Rivers gets ready to jump at the Region 3-6A Championships

Taylor Nunez (Randolph) 15-16 girls 60m, 200m, 400m, LJ - Taylor Nunez is a top notch talent in track and on the field. We mentioned her in our sprint article and here she is again, with justification. Nunez won the UIL 3A state title; she is a consistent 19-foot jumper and her 20-0 Pr proves she has more hops to unleash when she needs to.

Brianna Rivers (Humble Summer Creek) - 15-16 girls 400m, HJ, LJ - The high jump has become the Rivers' family business. Brianna begins this season after an a freshman season that saw her finish eighth at the state meet and jump a 5-8.75 PR. She went 5-5.75 indoors last year and could see a new indoor PR this Sunday.

Cali Bryant (Houston Memorial) - Bryant is in the same position as Rivers. Jumping is in the blood. As with Rivers, Bryant has a UIL state champion in the family, but this year could be her turn to get a gold medal. She'll begin the season this weekend in the LJ and HJ. She has PRs of 18-3 and 5-9 and was the Region 3-6A champion and was ninth at the state meet.

Koi Wedderburn (Stafford) - 17-18 boys 60m and LJ - Wedderburn enters this season with a 22-4.5 PR in the long jump as well as a 44-8.25 triple jump PR. He is just getting his start to the year in the LJ as well as sht 60m this weekend.

Benjamin Blomqvist (Boerne Champion) - 17-18 boys 60H, 400mLJ, and HJ - Blomqvist is an all-around do-everything multi-event athlete. He has a 6-0 and 19-11 guy in the jumps, but look for him to see gains from off-season preparation to bolster his decathlon aspirations.

Ryan Niblett (Houston Eisenhower) - 17-18 boys 60m, 200m, LJ - We already highlighted the UT football commit in the sprinter edition, but he pops up here in the jumps article as well. Niblett is an absolute stud athlete and his 23-1 PR is proof that he could be one of the guys getting fresh dirt in the back of the pit this weekend.
