Nederland Invitational Meet Summary

The Nederland Invitational saw teams and individuals compete against each other for the third time this year. The course was flat and dry with a lot of turns. A one mile loop with three 180 degree turns and four or five 90 degree turns. In Division I it was the Dayton girls edging out Nederland 38 to 39 for first place. Mailaika Tezeno of P.N.G. was the top girl with a time of 12:37, she was followed by Erica Hannemann 12:49 of Dayton and Emily Beagle 13:20 of Nederland. Division I boys was Bridge City 23, L.C.M. 49 and Nederland 59. Division II girls was Bridge City taking top honors with 18 points followed by Hamshire-Fannett 54 and Kelly 65. The overall girl was Amanda Kean 12:26 of Warren. Division II boys it was Deweyville 29 over Orangefield 57. The boys ran 3 miles and girls 2. Next week Texas A&M.
