This week, the Texas Relays is what the happening track meet of the week will be and it's the weekend many have been waiting on for most of the track and field season. One of the yearly main races at the Texas Relays is the 4x800 relay.  It isn't participated weekly and also isn't a TAPPS or UIL state competed event. However, with cross country being one of the most highly participated sports in the state, the 4x800 relay is popular

Here are the rankings for the event this season. The UIL 6A cross country team champions Flower Mound has already dropped the No. 2 all-time performance with their 9:04.56 race at the Coppell Relays on March 4th. The only Texas team to run faster was last year's Flower Mound quartet that ran 8:57.39. On the season, 28 teams have run under 10:00 this season heading into Texas Relays weekend.
