2A Girls 100m

Refugio's Peyton Oliver finished fourth in the 2A Girls 100m in 2022, but she bolted to a quick start and held off Thrall's Avery Koonce to take the title in 2023. Oliver crossed the tape in 11.99 after entering the meet with the second fastest seed time.

For Koonce, it was a big race as she was nearly stride-for-stride with Oliver until the final 10 meters. Koonce finished seventh in 2022 and was only the fifth seed this year, but she used an excellent start to nab the silver medal in 12.12. Taffi Adams a junior from Tioga came across in third  in 12:16.

2A Girls 200m

With last year's back-to-back state champ graduating, it was anybody's race. All nine qualifiers were within .60 of one another. Akenzie Weaver (Era) entered the meet with the top seed time of 25.34.

The race was as close as originally thought coming in. Off the turn through 60m remaining in the race, they were five girls wide across the track.

Then it was finally Tamasha Sellers (Hearne) who pulled away for the 25.28 win ahead of Weaver who finished second in 25.46, and Taffi Adams (Tioga) - 25.48 edging out Germayia Robinson (Chilton) - 25.49.
