The UIL Cross Country State Championships were an exciting two days of running at Old Settlers Park. We saw a couple of repeat champions as well as newly crowned winners.

The girls saw the freshman class saw an odd season. While there weren't any state champions, there was a runner-up and a third place finisher thanks to Canyon Randall's Nayomi Granados and Brook French.

The sophomores had two state champions and two runner ups, the juniors had two champions and two runner-ups, and the senior class had two champions, two runner-ups, and five third place finishers.

With the boys, we didn't see any top three medalists come from the freshman class. The sophomore class was definitely a different story as it rivaled the junior and senior classes. There were three state champions in the sophomore boys class, proving how top heavy it was.
