Recap: McAllen Bulldog Invitational

Rio Grande Valley cross country will be really good this season. It is already off to a great start and the ball should continue to roll and get better.

The McAllen Bulldogs Invitational turned out to be exactly what we thought it would be.

There were state level individuals who went head to head as well as 2023 state meet qualifying teams who were going head to head.

Individually, it was teammates Anthony Morales, Armando Morales, and Nathan Salinas making this look like a La Feria time trial for most of the boys race.

The trio ran 15:00, 15:10, and 15:35 season opening performances leading a total of six boys under 16:00.

The team race also showed how strong this season is going to be and the Weslaco East boys look primed to make another run at qualifying for the state meet again.
