Sophia Bendet (Universal City Randolph) won the McNeil Inv. with a 17:10 PR
What can't Sophia Bendet do?
The Universal City Randolph senior doesn't do much talking, what she does is walk the walk....or should I say run the run.
Bendet ran a PR and set a meet record last week at the Texas A&M Invitation with her 17:23 win. That was considered a great time on a tough course and she backed that up with what I would say was a replica, but it was just a bit better.

That improvement came in the form of a 17:10 win at Old Settlers Park. That is another personal best run, something she has done almost every time she toed the line this season.
For the third time this season, Elin Latta (South Texas Heat Homeschool) was the runner-up finisher behind Bendet, the only girl to beat her this season.
The freshman improved on her personal best and her season 5,000m results which have gone from 17:58 to 17:45, and now sits at 17:23.
A total of five girls turned in sub 18-minute runs this weekend on a version of the state meet park format.
