Boys Performer of the Week (Jan 13-19)

Last week at the Texas High School Championships in College Station, Texas, Tate Taylor, San Antonio Harlan (center)had himself a day in the rounds of the 60m event. He ran 6.68 and 6.75 en route to taking away the meet win against some very high level and elite competition.

That landed Taylor in the Boys POW poll, where he continued to win amongst other winners. He garnered 920 votes for 46.28% of the overall vote total.

Elijah Ferguson (Katy Mayde Creek) - Ran 46.38 and 47.04 to win the 400m at the Carl Lewis Inv.

Bailey Hashmi (Houston Lamar) -  Ran 6.72 to win the the 60m and went 21.39 for second in the 200m at Carl Lewis Inv.

Ewan Curtis (Argyle Liberty Christian) - Ran 7.75 to win the 60H and 21.73 for second in the 200m at the Arkansas HS Inv.

Evan Martin (Rockwall Heath) - Ran 1:54.50 for second place at the Arkansas HS Inv.

Chastin Clark (Houston Cypress Ranch) - Jumped 6-4 to win the high jump at the Carl Lewis Inv.

Bradley Lowman (Stafford) - Jumped 22-9 to win the long jump and ran 7.84 in the 60H for second at the Carl Lewis Inv.

Kyen Purser (Midlothian) - Threw 57-6.50 for second place at the Arkansas HS Inv.

Cameron Phillips (Humble Summer Creek) -  Jumped 48-2 to win the triple jump at the Carl Lewis Inv.

Ruel Newberry (Denton Guyer) - Ran 8:27.82 to place third in the 3K at the Arkansas HS Inv.

Abram Reagan (Austin Lake Travis) - Ran 21.34 to win the 200m and 47.66 for second in the 200m at the Jimmy Carnes Inv.

Griffin Hummel (Austin Bowie) - Ran 9:19.55 to win the two-mile at the Univ. Michigan HS Showcase

Colby Huntress (Austin Anderson) - Ran 4:17.38 to win the mile at the Univ. Michigan HS Showcase
