I remember hearing my high school and college coaches talking about back in their days when sprinter ran everything from the 100-yard dash, the 220-yard dash, and the 440-yard dash on cinder tracks. Sprinters didn't specialize back then, they were complete.

At the high school level, things have been getting back to those days and by looking at this year's crop of Texas girls and boys, we definitely see the all-around talent possessed.

Lancaster has a dynamic duo who have been busy so far this season. Datavia Hunter and Milan Lathan have been flaunting their abilities by ech going 11.8, 24.50 and under as well as in the 54s for the 400 already. Rianna Floyd (Waxahachie) is another sprint star and has run 11.99, 24.51, and 55.46 this year.

Texas has some of the best all-around sprinters in the nation with the likes of Jonathan Simms (Allen)
