2025 UIL 3A girls 4x400 relay
Randolph's third-leg runner, Sophia Bendet, gave the team a crucial push, setting Nunez up within striking distance for the final lap. As expected, Nunez-already a multi-event champion on the day-made her move on the backstretch, overtaking Holliday's anchor. What followed was a breathtaking homestretch duel, with Nunez's sprint power battling against the determination of Holliday's distance anchor, Breagan Blowers. Both teams were stride for stride, the crowd on its feet, until Nunez leaned through the finish to clinch the title in a photo finish.
West ran a composed race as well, improving from fourth at the 1200-meter mark to secure third in 3:53.90, thanks to a strong anchor leg from Kaylee Monthie. Wall finished fourth, holding its ground with a time of 3:58.44. The race capped a remarkable day for Nunez, who not only delivered for her team but cemented her legacy as one of the most dominant sprinters in UIL 3A history.
