Despite a costly graduation season last year, the McAllen girls are still running strong. They have the fastest team average in the Valley for 5,000m. Their 19:35 average is thanks to three runners with sub-20-minute runs, including an 18:31 by Sophia Simpson.

Edinburg Vela checks in at the two spot with a 20:10 minute average followed by Weslaco East's 20:15 team average. La Joya Palmview with a 20:15 is the fourth-best team and Sharyland Pioneer has the fifth-best team average at 20:38.
