Everyone!
Well I
am so grateful to be part of a D3 Cross-Country team. It was truly a dream come
true when I learned that I could have the opportunity to study and run in
college! Even though D3 schools can't give athletic scholarships to prospective
athletes to come compete, there are many academic scholarships available. In a
way, this shows that there is an emphasis placed on academics. At TLU, we are
student-athletes before anything else. This is really great because it
encourages an athlete to strive to excel in the classroom as well as on the
course, track, field, etc. So, being a part of such a great program is awesome.
Everyone who comes out for athletics, in my case CC and Track, are out here
because this is what they love to do. So, when I go to practice, I know that my
teammates are just as passionate about the sport as I am. This creates so much
team unison and long lasting friendships! I love being able to study and
compete for TLU, but most of all I love all of my teammates! D3 athletics is
great! GO TLU CROSS- COUNTRY and TRACK & FIELD!!!
