Naomi Booker Claims A Second Straight UIL 6A 100H Crown

Naomi Booker cleared all barriers standing in the way between her and another UIL 6A state championship in the 100H

It is amazing to see how many times the first person to get to the first hurdle ends up winning the race. That wisdom held true in the UIL 6A girls 100mh final as Tomball's Naomi Booker was ahead at the first hurdle and rolled through to a second consecutive State title with a time of 13.32.

By the fifth hurdle, only Morgan Olschewsky (Plano), Cristina Garcia (Laredo Alexander), and Rory Marigny (Cy-Fair) remained in contention with Booker. Over the final two hurdles, Olschewsky made a late rush to the finish line, but could not overtake Booker and crossed the line in 13.36.
