University of Virginia track athlete Billie Jo Grant set a pair of season bests en route for qualifying for the NCAA Regional meet in competition at the Texas Relays this weekend in Austin, Texas. Grant threw 48\' 7.25\" and improved her regional qualifying mark from earlier this year in the shot, while in the discus she threw a 174\' 4\" and now ranks #2 all-time at Virginia, just 3\' 1\" behind the record. Tomika Ferguson also hit the NCAA Regional qualifying mark with a personal-best triple jump, going 40\' 8.25\" and taking sixth at the meet. Inge Jorgensen also finished in the top eight, taking seventh overall with her 165\' 10\".

AUSTIN, Texas - Some of the world\'s most decorated track and field athletes will represent Team USA at the 2005 Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays hosted by The University of Texas. The four-day event, which runs Wednesday, April 6, through Saturday, April 9, at Mike A. Myers Stadium, also features a collection of the nation\'s finest collegiate and prep athletes.
