The girls 1500m wasn't holding back at all! The lead group came through in 62 and continued to set the pace hard with a 2:13 at 800m. Julia Heymach stayed comfortably within the pack, and after appearing to fade on lap 2. Heymach surged back in the final 600m. Fighting for position with the other athletes in the lead group.
Following the impressive times by the lead 4, it was a photo finish behind for the remaining place, and Heymach PRed for the 2nd time in Colombia to improve on her US #4 to 4:21.78.
