Analysis: Ka is another athlete that has had a wonderful running career thus far. She has qualified for the 5A state cross country meet for each of her three years in high school. Her finishes have all been respectable including a 14th place finish last season. Ka had a 18:00.80 race at McNeil and a 18:34.17 true 5K season's best.
In the spring, Ka placed third at the UIL 5A state track meet in the 1600m. Ka ran a PR 5:06.17 to earn that bronze medal. Can she ride the momentum from the award stand from the state track meet to continue that at this fall's state cross country meet?
