Analysis: Figueroa had an awesome 2016 season. A season full of PRs, big time performances, and a state meet individual qualification were the reaps of the hard work he put in over the off season. In the first meet of 2016, Figueroa set a PR with at 15:39 and finishing up the season at the state meet in 22nd place with his 15:37.90 performance. For a kid who didn't even make regionals the year before, only a few things could have gone better last year. If 2017 goes anything like last year then expect Figueroa to have a good chance to be on the award stand in Round Rock.
