Reed Brown Breaks 4:00 in the Mile


Southlake Carroll distance star and and now University of Oregon Freshman Reed Brown ran 3:59.30 this past season at the Festival of Miles to become the fourth fastest prep miler ever.  

This was the second high school sub-four time produced by the meet after Grant Fisher ran 3:59.38 in 2015. Brown competed in the professional mile field, which was won by University of Wisconsin standout Morgan McDonald.

According to the official splits, Brown's last 400m was run in a blistering 56.8 seconds. Official Splits: 61.54 - 60.88 - 60.08 - 56.8
