McQuillan had a fantastic finish to her sophomore season last year. She upped her state meet finish from her freshman year from 19th to 11th as a sophomore and she dropped her time 18:47.48 to 18:13.90. She then went on to perform well at NXR South.
She returns for her junior year and she will be a dangerous runner in the 5A classification. She doesn't get to many big time meets, but when she does she makes the most of them.
This could be the year she finishes on the award stand at the state meet.
